JOB DESCRIPTION
Analyze product specifications and design to determine process standards and establish quality and reliability objectives; take products from concept through production level design; understand customer requirements/specifications and break them down into requirement lists; comprehend utilization requirements and objectives; implement and review analysis studies on design and prove reliability; recommend procedures for the sequence of product fabrication and assembly while maintaining quality; coordinate quality control while considering cost and resource allocation; ensure the proper selection of materials, tolerances and error proofing methods; explain designs to customers; review bids and contracts; draft and manage budgets; participate and coordinate quality activities; interpret blueprints, technical drawings; research, design and develop products for drilling and production of oil and gas; confer with engineers or personnel to implement operating procedures and provide technical information; develop quotation drawings per customer requests; document technical design details; develop and modify standard operating procedures and provide technical information; develop quotation drawings per customer requests; document technical design details; develop and modify standard operating procedure for prototype development; monitor and analyze quality of parts purchased from third parties; assist with supply chain issues; use knowledge of engineering specifications to define the scope of work required for equipment additions, modifications, repair and conversions; and maintain knowledge of innovations in the industry and field.
Education
A Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in mechanical engineering, engineering management or mechanical engineering technology required. An educational equivalency evaluation of the degree as prepared by a credentials evaluation service is acceptable.
Full-time Position
